Gran S Zircon Sand

Gran S Sand is a zircon, high-quality sand for precision investment casting use.

This premium zircon sand is engineered for use in primary coats and stucco applications where high thermal resistance and surface integrity are essential. With a typical A.F.S number rang of 100–115, Gran 'S' provides excellent coverage and embedment while maintaining shell permeability and strength. Its high specific gravity (~4.2 g/cm³), low thermal expansion, and high melting point make it ideal for resisting thermal shock and preventing metal penetration or reaction. Gran S Sand is chemically stable and naturally high in zirconium silicate content, offering reliable performance in repeated shell firing and molten metal exposure.
