Wetting Agent (Victawet)

Wetting Agent (Victawet) is a wetting agent, high-quality additive for precision investment casting use.

This liquid wetting agent improves slurry adhesion and uniform coverage on wax or resin patterns, especially during the critical primary dip. It reduces surface tension, eliminates bubbling, and promotes smooth, even coating—essential for achieving sharp detail and preventing shell defects. Suitable for use in both acidic and alkaline binder systems, the additive is low-foaming, disperses quickly, and helps maintain slurry stability without affecting viscosity or drying time.

Typically added at 0.25% of total binder volume and adjusted as needed, this wetting agent works effectively with colloidal silica and ethyl silicate slurries alike. Foundries rely on it to improve pattern wetting, reduce rework, and ensure consistent shell quality in aerospace, stainless steel, and high-precision castings.
